   January Meeting:

   June Colburn

   Textile Treasures of Bali

From royal robes to one of our hottest textile trends, hand-dyed wax-resist batiks have an alluring past and an exciting future. Learn more about the importance of these wonderful fabrics in Balinese culture, how expert dyers create their effects, and see examples of contemporary batiks used in wearable art, quilts, and more. Joan's trunk show is illustrated with fabrics she collected as she traveled around the world and quilts and garments she's created from her fabric collection.

Space is still available for the Fabric Collage workshop on Wednesday, January 11.  Email Linda Martin (park1240@hotmail.com) to confirm your spot if you are planning to attend the workshop and have not paid.
